As you already know, I'm a fan of flash mobs. But this latest opera flash mob syndrome is fascinating!
This time, it was in Philadelphia, and not Spain. Read the full article at Crooks and Liars for a full understanding of the significance of this particular place they Philly Opera Company decided to pull off this event.
What a wonderful way to close out my rather strenuous and not so positive day (dealing with "the problem"). One of our friends involved in this situation and helping out, actually passed out today at one of the "institutions" we were at visiting with Zaire, and had to be taken to a hospital by an ambulance. So, with nothing resolved today, and the lies by the "governmental agency" making MY nose itch just watching theirs grow, comes to some sort of head this Wednesday, at a court hearing.
This video just topped off my day in a good way. Enjoy!

Oh, to have been part of that, whether as a performer or a spectator!
Spontaneous outbreaks of artistic culture are part of the medicine our society needs.
Transcendental, it is.
Yeah, that was and is an awesome video, and it very much made my day after a lot of personal drama.
I would love to have been in that place. This is the second opera flash mob I ran across in two weeks, and personally, I like the trend. Although the flash mobs like the ones where 100 people show up at a rug shop and stare at one rug for five minutes and then leave, or where 100 people show up in a city square and then freeze like a mannequin for five minutes, are funny, these flash mobs are uplifting and very spiritual in a way.
Peace ... All you need is love. I'll be at John Lennon's star in Hollywood next Wednesday for the 30 anniversary of his murder. Should be pretty awesome get together of divergent Lennon fans.
