CSI Must Have Aired Repeat Episode Chateau Rouge

East coast must be seeing the old CSI episode regarding the Chateau Rouge because I most certainly got a spike load of hits about an hour ago. At first I thought perhaps is was due to the Mear One pieces I have recently put up. But, the links go to my December 2008 post Moulin Rouge Las Vegas.

UPDATE: Now I'm getting hits from Nevadans. The show must be on repeat tonight across the board!

Looks Like CSI Episode Aired In Spain!

Because, again, I get the hits back to my Moulin Rouge post. That sucker aired in December 2008, and here we are in March, almost April, 2010, and it's still showing in repeats all over the world.

27 Hits In One Hour! CSI Episode Must Have Aired Somewhere!

Every time the CSI episode airs about the Chateau Rouge, I get a ton of hits based on this post I did in 2008. Having been born in Vegas, and having my aunt actually be a dancer at the Moulin Rouge (which the CSI episode used as a backdrop for the story, but calling it the Chateau Rouge instead), I know quite a bit of the history of the place, which still exists as it has been designated an historical monument in Vegas.

Still, for me, 27 hits in one hour is a lot!

Everytime that Chateau Rouge episode of CSI is aired, I get a ton of hits! Search engines zero in on my post about the real integrated casino in Vegas back in the 1950's, the Moulin Rouge.

More CSI Hits!

Well, the CSI episode about the Moulin Rouge, but called the Chateau Rouge, must have played in Holland, because I got 15 hits today, from The Netherlands search engines, looking for "Chateau Rouge."

I found the CSI backstory tonight interesting. It focused on a club named the Chateau Rouge, known as the first integrated casino in old school Vegas.

As many of you know, I was born in Vegas in 1952. My dad played at the Desert Inn, and my aunt (who was not my aunt at the time) danced at the Desert Inn. Then, the Moulin Rouge opened, owned by Sammy Davis Jr. and others, which was the first integrated casino in Vegas.

I thought it was interesting watching fiction weave around reality, espically a reality I know about personally.

It burned down all but the facade in 2003. It's now a declared historical building in Vegas, and there are plans to redevelop it.

UPDATE: I cannot believe how many hits I have been getting over this post! I forgot to mention that my aunt (the dancer) left the Desert Inn to be one of the dancers at the Moulin Rouge. And NO, the Chateau Rouge is a made up casino, NOT REAL. The storyline of the CSI episode related to the Moulin Rouge.
