Word Association, Saturday Night Live Style!

I have no idea how long this will stay up, but after watching Tavis Smiley interview Paul Mooney (his new book is entitled "Black Is The New White") he ran this old clip from Saturday Night Live, which I remember, but really had no clue who wrote it.

This is Chevy Chase and Richard Pryor, some of the best comedy ever, and most assuredly, never likely to be seen or repeated on national television again!

I'm laughing to the point of tears...reminds me of several job interviews I've experienced. That's hilarious! Thanks, bartender...

You're welcome! I am still laughing as well, and I have watched the spot tonight about 20 times. It is so fucking funny, especially when you consider it was on broadcast television ... not cable.

Something like this would never air today.

Great video Carrie. Our generation really did have the best SNL. When humor didn't have to be sensitive.

I agree re sensitivity, Tony. I miss the old Polish jokes, or the Jewish princess jokes, or the Helen Keller jokes (laughing). Like "how do you punish Helen Keller ... you rearrange the furniture." That would be so not PC in today's ridiculously thin skinned world.
