The Evil Coulter Silenced!

From the New York Post:

THAT although we didn't think it would be possible to silence Ann Coulter, the leggy reactionary broke her jaw and the mouth that roared has been wired shut . . .

I wonder who finally had the guts to slug her in the face ... or who pushed her down the stairs!

Being happy Ann broke her jaw is simply mean spirited. I wouldn't be happy if you broke your hand and couldn't type your views on your blog site even though I disagree with about 85% of your views. I really don't understand how liberals preach tolerance and freedom of speech, but in many ways practice intolerance and suppression. I know her words can be biting at times, but words are just a debate, not actual injury. I rather enjoy listening to the opposing side of issues, I find it entertaining. I must say I've been pleasantly surprised by President-elect Obama. So far his appointments have been more center to center-right then I expected and he's already backpedalling on some his far left promises. If that remains true I may actually like the way he governs. That being said, I wish you a truly special Thanksgiving, and I hope you enjoy your grandson to the max today.

What a pile of crap, Tony. How sanctimonious can you be?

First, let's talk about mean spirited. I hardly think a little ditty about Coulter's jaw being wired was as mean spirited as, oh, I don't know, like say calling for the killing of Obama during the election -- not only spurred on by the actual opposing candidates, but by like-minded television and radio talk show hosts. And let's not forget just how mean spirited Ms. Coulter really is! Or her many counter parts, like Limbaugh, O'Reilly, Beck, etc. I could go on and on with the names of Republican supporting right wing ideologues and their constant harangue about the "left" and "liberals." Intolerance is a virtue among Republicans and right wing idiots, and especially among the Christian right. Just look at what the Mormon church did in California and you'll have some idea of what true intolerance is about. In fact, my very first post quoted YOU and your completely off the wall intolerable views about what America should do after 9/11. I believe you were even so incredibly naive as to claim that America didn't need countries like France and Germany, and that they have their "coalition of the willing" (laughing over that one), even going so far as to make the statement that this itty bitty coalition surpassed any coalition America formed during the great wars of the past.

Then let's address your claim that you actually enjoy listening to opposing sides of issues! I will call you out on that right here and now. I started this blog based on your very mean spirited emails to me after the 2004 election, where you not only informed me you wouldn't even open up the links I sent you to view (cough cough) other sides and opinions, you told me straight out you preferred to get your real news and information from Fox and all the other right wing talking heads. And you were damn proud of it, to boot.

Lastly, you are still showing that you are reading only right wing talking points. No liberal has believed that Obama is a liberal, votes liberal or is in any fashion what anyone like me would consider a left winger. Far from it. BUT, people like me voted for Obama because we wanted to be part of an historic election -- that of voting for the first black man to be the president in the United States. And as for back peddling, Obama made NO promises to the left wing community. He made a promise to America that he would govern from a position of bipartisanship with a goal to change the way the government is run.

I don't know how many times I have to tell you that I am neither Republican nor Democrat (or any other party, for that matter). I want to see change in the way this country is run. I want to see it fixed from the damage YOUR party has done to it. I want to see criminals, both Republican and Democrat (and Joe Lieberman) ousted and removed from government office and replaced with people who give a shit about this country and not about the corporate dollars that have poured into their coffers.

Lastly, Tony, you don't seem to understand why I don't publish a lot of your comments. This is my blog. You don't get to take shots at me the way you do. When I put up something about a public persona, you are out of line when you compare me and my life to my blog post. For example, when I brought up how unqualified Gov. Palin was for the job (and I was not alone by a long shot on that opinion), you questioned how qualified I am. I am not, nor was I, running for an office, or as a vice presidential candidate at that. Hence, the comparison was just a way for you to put a "dig" in me. The crack you made one time about taxes was inappropriate. Your comment that you wouldn't be happy if I broke my hand and couldn't type on my blog the views you don't agree with is disingenuous. I don't spew out the kind of crap that Ann Coulter is famous for. There is no comparison here. None. I am not a Rush Limbaugh. I am no Bill O'Reilly. I am no Shawn Hannity. I am no Jeff Beck. I am not in the same league as those that spew out bile and call it journalism. Hell, I once wrote a blog post about Coulter and felt that if she were treated as a comic, perhaps people would find her stuff funny. But when she is touted as a pundit and journalist, well, I have to judge her as a pundit and a journalist. And she is up there with the top ten of mean spirited people who practice and preach intolerance as a way of American life.

And if you can't see the humor in Coulter having her mouth wired shut, then your ass is tighter than I thought!

I do see the humor of Ann breaking her jaw and I can understand you (being a liberal not a democrat) can find it poetic justice. I just don't understand the glee about someone falling and getting injured. As for the death threats against Obama, I think they are horrible. Now saying that the candidates supported those threats is simply untrue. Now true in 2004 I did tell you I didn't like reading the opposing view and preferred Fox, etc, its it 4 years later and things do change. I've begun reading many liberal viewpoints and watching liberal pundits (your blog is a large reason why I started doing this), not because I agree with them, but I now like seeing the other viewpoint. I am a conservative, its who I am, and you are the only liberal "friend" that is not tolerant of that, and I do have friends that are liberal. Now for your reason for voting for Obama, if that is really true, I cannot think of a more racist comment. I did not vote for McCain because he was white, but because I agree with him on most issues. I would never cast a vote simply for race, I vote on issues and quite frankly party line. I also happen to live in the 3rd largest Republican County in the country. McCain carried Morris County with 82.9% of the vote. Lastly on your comment about my personal shots, point taken, and you are correct. I apologize

Oh, BTW, if you couldn't see the humor of my referring to your post as "mean spirited" when that is the term most often used to describe Ann Coulter, your ass is tighter then I thought. Republicans do have a sense of humor too you know.

One more thing, did you ever notice how much Ann Coulter looks like the chick from the hockey games I used to date 12 years ago? You know, the one you hated the first time you met her. Think about that for minute.

racism -- noun

1. the prejudice that members of one race are intrinsically superior to members of other races 2. discriminatory or abusive behavior towards members of another race

racism

The belief that some races are inherently superior (physically, intellectually, or culturally) to others and therefore have a right to dominate them. In the United States, racism, particularly by whites against blacks, has created profound racial tension and conflict in virtually all aspects of American society. Until the breakthroughs achieved by the civil rights movement in the 1950s and 1960s, white domination over blacks was institutionalized and supported in all branches and levels of government, by denying blacks their civil rights and opportunities to participate in political, economic, and social communities.

I find your comment that my voting for Obama based on his being black as racist, pretty funny. Obviously, you don't have a clue what racism is, and are still reading out of your Republican Talking Points primer.

Only died in the wool Republicans make statements like that. You might need to increase your left wing blog reading (grins).

As for the psycho chick you used to date, no, I did not put the resemblance together, for as you note, it's been what, 12 years? I don't remember much of what she looked like, only that she was a total ass, from my point of view.

And as for which one of us has the tightest ass, that would be you (laughs) since I have enjoyed ... ok, not going to go there, but I know you get MY drift.
