Congrats, Kuroda, On The Shutout

Hiroki Kuroda threw the first complete game and shutout of his major league career, beating the Chicago Cubs, 3-0.

This happened on Friday. For baseball fans, we know how difficult it is these days to actually be allowed, as a pitcher, to go the full nine innings. Back in the days of Koufax and Drysdale, it was a no brainer they would complete the game. Nowadays, we have openers, middle relief and closers with respect to pitching.

As a Dodger and baseball fan, congrats, although delayed, to Kuroda. (Please, I still remember where I was when both Valenzuela AND Dave Stewart threw no hitters on the same day! Hint, it's on the east coast and um, is aka The Big Apple!)
