"Failure We Can Live With"

It doesn't cease to amaze me how the nutjobs on the right root for failure, failure, failure ... as if somehow that will equate to Republicans being "right." The constant "boo" and "no" attitude is wearing thin on the American populace, where generally, this country wants to be first in everything it does, and continues to strive for excellence. Except, of course, in the wingnuttery universe.

Where in history, has anyone in America cheered for failure? The Olympics, once the prize for any city to be awarded, is now cheered for failing to select Chicago as the city for the next games. Of course, just cheered by those small numbered defeatists that pretend they represent the American agenda, when, in fact, they are really stupid idiots that are wearing out their welcome very fast.

I do find it a tad funny that all these "birthers," "tenthers," "teabaggers," etc. really do believe that if everything our government is currently doing to lift Americans out of the depression we are in (and don't for a moment think we are not in one), will somehow result in Republicans taking over the government again! The party of "no" does not have many members, and they are losing them more and more each day as the mantra continues to be "failure we can live with."

Good luck with that one, guys.

On this Carrie, you are wrong. The failure we relish is that of the Messiah Barak Obama. See he made his appeal to host the Olympics personal, i.e., about him, not about the Country he represents. That does not make this an American failure, it's a BHO failure, and from the group he though would love him. His ego is out of control. Oh and check your numbers, the GOP is growing and gaining support. The majority are realizing BHO represents change that is anti-America and they are moving back to the right. My party's problem at this point is we do not have a Newt Gingrich, but one will rise to the top soon. Pelosi's days as Speaker are numbered, if not by a GOP takeover, by her own turning on her. If things are as you claim and Americans support this socialist agenda why then has healthcare not passed. You have the votes without my party.

Over and over again, Tony, you prove yourself to be an idiot.

First, the Olympic push had absolutely nothing to do with Obama and his alleged "ego." You really must work at getting your news from reliable sources instead of just reading off the teleprompter that has become right wing nutjob news media (and that includes CNN). I am not going to bother with how many U.S. Presidents have lobied for the Olympics to be in this country (nor to account for how many other world leaders lobby for the very same thing for their country). For you to claim that Obama's "ego" drove him to seek the Olympics for Chicago tells me you won't survive the likes of the are you smarter than a fifth grader (or whatever the name of that show is).

Now, as for your ridiculous comment about the Republican party's growth ... what can I say. Your ignorance is showing more than your underwear, Tony. As of October 2, 2009 (that is just a few days ago, dear one), the number of Americans identifying themselves with the Republican party fell again by half a percent (ummmmmm, that does not equate as a rise, buddy, that's a LOSS), to about 32.1%, compared with those that identify with the Democratic party, 37.5%. The number of unaffiliated stayed about the same at about 30%. Just google it, damn it! It's not that hard to get the numbers, unless, of course, you prefer your ignorant insulated world.

Yeah, that's it. Since I have known you, you have always over inflated your beliefs, and none of them have passed the test of time.

Um, like Irag's WMD.
Like Saddam's connection to 9/11.
Like California was going to go Republican.
Like McCain was going to win the election.
Like Bush never lied to this country.

I can go on, and on, and on, and on, but I think you get the drift. As long as you simply say things on this blog, doesn't mean it is the truth. Unlike MSM (which has never had a liberal bent -- hell all of our current media are owned by only a handful of corporations and individuals, ALL of which lean to the right, not in any fashion to the left), this blog is not influenced by the overuse of "the lie." Truth is distinguished from the lies by a simple key stroke. It's called "Google it!"

P.S. Newt is on the news daily, dude. Your party already owns him, warts and all. I can only hope you find someone equally as ridiculous to represent your party. Americans will be leaving in droves! Head out of sand would be a good thing for you to consider.

Best of luck.

Googled it. All I find is bad news for dems and liberals in the recent articles. If I go back to July I can still find some that support your opinion. We'll see how the 2009 elections pan out, right now it appears NJ and VA will go to the Republicans. Although 4 weeks is an eternity in politics right now its a RED October.

Just though I'd share this with you.

Here's another one. And for you the claim that the MSM is not left leaning is laughable. NBC is pratically sleeping with the President, which is why their ratings are suffering. And those of us that criticize the President are not racist. If race were the issue I'd only object to Obama 50% of the time since he is only 50% black. My niece's husband is black and Republican and my great-nephew is thus half black. Phillip Jr is being raised a conservative.

Tony, Tony, Tony! You have to read the poll not just direct me to a site that makes it's own commentary on the numbers! The actual poll, which is linked in the article, says nothing about the NUMBERS of Republicans vs. Democrats. The questions refer to whether the person questioned thought the Republicans and Democrats were doing a good job in congress. And yes, congressional ratings have gone down for the Democrats. But that was not what my post was about. My post concerned the defeat America at all costs mentality of the Republican party, and how that is continually turning off Americans across the board. My post was about the number of people actually registered to vote as Republicans and Democrats, and the decline in registered Republicans continuing, not about what people "think" with respect to how well Republicans and Democrats are doing in congress! I talk apples, and you throw in pizza as a retort.

Secondly, the poll that you referenced was conducted jointly by The Wall Street Journal and NBC. WSJ is owned by Rupert Murdoch, a lifetime right wing nutjob. Jeff Zucker is CEO of NBC which is a joint venture of General Electric. While Zucker is a registered Independent, General Electric is sorta, kinda, ok definitely, in bed with the nut jobs, and your assertion that NBC leans left is a joke. NBC news is no different than the reporting at Fox, and if you don't believe me, just watch NBC Nightly News. The only thing liberal is on the cable channel, and that is Rachel Maddow and Olbermann over at MSNBC, which is still a far cry from leaning left. The rest of their shows lean so far to the right, you tip over! You're not used to doing much research, are you, Tony.

As for the racist reactionary comments, I don't recall my blog post saying anything about racism. I never said criticizing Obama is racist. I was critical of Republicans who want to see America fail, just because it is on the Democrats watch. While Democrats and liberals and progressives were all over Bush, not once did they wish for this country to fail. They laughed at Bush's incompetence, his inability to articulate, his lack of interest in all things intellectual, were angry over his lies and deceit, but they never transferred that dislike to wishing for America to fail. This is something unique and wholly owned by the Republican party – the party of NO.

As for the comment that fund-raising is up for the RNC more than the DNC, again, that fails to address the whole point of my blog post. Raising the money does not translate into registered Republicans or even voting Republican. And it is off topic, again, as to the point of my post.

(banging head against keyboard).

I am very used to doing research, trust me. I know what I'm talking about. My comments were not solely based on your post, but more broadly based on the thoughts of most with your left thinking. Just because I disagree with you, that does make make me less intelligent, it just means I have a different opinion.

You were off topic and wrong. If you want to post your own thoughts that are "broadly based," I suggest you write your own blog. Otherwise, comments must be restricted to the topic. I don't find you less intelligent because you disagree with me, I find you less intelligent based on your comments!
