Don't Take Away My Education

Grover Norquist, Americans for Tax Reform, on how evolution should be taught in public schools: "The real problem here is that you shouldn't have government-run schools. ... Given that we have to spend all our time crushing the capital gains tax I don't have much time for this issue."

That's right. Let's go back to where education was only afforded the wealthy few, leaving the larger group of middle class to poor out in the cold. A free education to all is one of the greatest gifts this country offered its citizens. It's a shame people actually believe we, as citizens, would be better off without proper access to free education.

Except for Norquist - who obviously thinks more about what's in his wallet than about religion or science - none of the conservatives believes the universe was created 6000 years ago. & David Frum's statement is idiotic:
"I don't believe that anything that offends nine-tenths of the American public should be taught in public schools. ... Christianity is the faith of nine-tenths of the American public. ... I don't believe that public schools should embark on teaching anything that offends Christian principle." This guy is really in synch with the Wahabi mullah method of education.
