Best Music In Town!
BTW...A friend of mine who was stationed in Hawai'i for several years (if I had to have a military assignment, that would be it) brought home an album by a duo known as Cecilio and Kapono (C&K) and turned me on to their music. I haven't heard them in years, but I understand they're still going strong. Are you familiar with them?
Yes, they are still touring, but I don't know if they have produced any new stuff recently. Here is the link to their website.
Aye! that's good! I loves me Guantanamera, too...I really miss the availability of Latin music on the radio...
I should narrow that down to Cuban, there's plenty of Mex and Tex, but not so much the Cuban I grew up hearing...
I find it funny that lots of non musicians lump "spanish" music into one category, when there is such a HUGE variety of said music, from Puerto Rican, to Cuban, to Brazilian salsa to banda Mexican, etc.
