What Washington D.C. Sees In Me

Sometimes when the government is checking out your blog, it's not what you think it is for!  Here the individual was actually looking up my Grundig Majestic stereo console post.  I get about two hits a day from individuals searching for information about Grundig.

The Consumate Comic Genius - Jonathan Winters, RIP

I loved, LOVED, Jonathan Winters, since I was a young kid.  He was on a lot of television programs in the 1950's and 1960's and his humor was unique.   Here is a bit he did, improv, using a simple pen and pencil set.  Note:  You can see where Robin Williams got his inspiration.

RIP.

I Am 61 Today!

I had a fabulous birthday today.  Lot's of emails and texts and posts wishing me a happy birthday.  I was taken out to dinner by my friend, Hana, and had this wonderful dessert presented to me!

I really did not expect to be this far ahead from my state of mind back in August 2012.

Took this picture yesterday.  Sums up how I am feeling.

Annette ... Annette ... Annette

What can someone say about her?  She was a Mouseketeer star (she had big boobs), she was a 1960's icon (she had big boobs), and she was Mr. Disney's favorite (she had big boobs).

I watched the Mickey Mouse Club as a kid. I am not sure how many of us did NOT watch.

Those of us lucky enough back in the day to have our "ears" know what I mean.

I have a boatload of songs by Annette.  Enjoy!

Damn ... I miss her, seriously.

A Phone Call Answered

I had not heard from, seen, or spoken to, my grandson, since July of 2012.  I have been locked out of all communication, by my daughter.

In an effort to bridge the gap, I reached out to my daughter a few times these past couple of weeks.  I knew Zaire was here for the spring break, and was hoping to at least talk to him.  My daughter just blew me off.

Then, I thought about contacting the father directly.  So, I called him on Wednesday.  I was prepared to defend myself in a number of ways, but to my surprise, he greeted my telephone call with an apology for not having Zaire call me!  To say I was stunned is an understatement.  I just took it all in, and I called today like I was told to do, and Zaire answered the phone!  We both screamed!  Seriously, we did, like two old friends who had not talked to one another for ages!  I was so overwhelmed by his reaction to finally talking with me after seven months.  I am so elated.  I don't know what brought about the father's change of heart, but trust me, I am going to go with it and get all that I can from it.

Happy birthday to me (on April 9, but celebrating early, amen!)

Let's Dance

I was dancing early in my life.  That included traditional dance, i.e. ballet and modern, as well as pop/rock.  The first dance I learned was the "mashed potato" (yeah, not the Twist LOL).

Chris Montez' song "Let's Dance" is making the rounds courtesy of a new commercial.  I can't find it anywhere to download or on You Tube.

This is the best I can find!  Enjoy.
