Cecilio and Kapono

For Arno (LOL): C&K were like Loggins & Messina, Hawai'ian style. They were never one of my favorite groups from that time, but hey, they were a pop Hawai'ian group.

Good Times Together

"Upon further review...the call on the field is reversed..."

I never made that connection before. I haven't heard them in a couple (cough, cough) of years. That's almost spooky similar.

I really liked most of L&M music back then, always liked the Messina part of it (harmonies and the Buffalo Springfield and Poco thing, and at that time I thought Loggins was an interloper with a great voice...which he was, and wound up proving himself better than that. Ah, retrospection...

BMIT again, Bartender!

Wow, we followed the same Messina connections (BS, Poco). I also thought Kenny was just along for the ride, but I got to know more about them back in the day when they were just doing college shows and only had their first album out. They had a 16 track mobile mixing studio in the back of a truck and I got to know some of the people working their sound. In fact, I first heard them at UC Santa Barbara when they opened for England Dan and John Ford Colley (or maybe it was Seals and Crofts - Danny and Jimmy Seals were brothers - Danny passed away last year). Hell, Dan and John sang at my first wedding; John and his then wife (who I am still in touch with) gave my first husband and I 12 rhode island reds for a wedding gift LOL!

Best Music In Town! You betcha! (oops, another Palinism. Hear a lot of that 'round here.)
That's cool about your L&M/Colley/Seals Bros. experience. In spite (?---no, because) of my "Suthern" roots, much of my musical journey centered on West Coast musicians of that era (Byrds, Jackson Browne, Youngbloods, CSN&Y) Harmonies are the thing, y'know.

Try this link if you can, cut and paste, hope it works:

Great minds think alike!

We built them a "dome" chicken coop, and just when the few that were chickens and not roosters were egg laying, someone stole them all. Oh well.
