Sen. Dianne Feinstein, the Democratic former mayor of San Francisco, will co-chair the campaign to defeat Proposition 19, the marijuana legalization initiative on the ballot in November, according to a press release today.

From my view-from-afar, she seemed like the mayor that SF needed at that time, but since she's been on the Senatorial level she's been off the cliff on key progressive matters, consistently.

Yeah, the "Democratic party" copout about Feinstein is that because of her husband's connections with the war profiteering corporations, she had to champion the wars so that she and hubby could make a gazillion dollars and fuck the regular people (that would the Americans, Californians, Iraqis and Afghanistanis.
