There is this commercial airing on tv that uses this song. It took me several weeks to figure out it was the song in the original Willy Wonka movie.
I didn't try to google it or anything. I really wanted to check my brain and try to figure out if I could discover where I knew this song.
Now that I've solved that irritating question ... on to the next.

I love that song! Another one of those songs that my Dad sings while busying around.
I didn't realize how much I did like the song until I kept hearing it over and over in this commercial (can't even tell you what the commercial is for, since I was so obsessed in trying to figure out where the song was from). It was like I knew the words to it, and even the halting way it is sung. It was hard not to google it, too, because I really wanted to figure it out on my own. After humming it for days, it dawned on me ... Willy Wonka! That's when I checked the soundrack online and voila, I was right. I took the Anthony Newley reference out because I am not sure if he is actually singing it in the movie ... it does sound more like Gene Wilder.
Yeah, I checked. It was co-written by Newley, but sung by Gene in the movie.
