Quick, There's An Emergency! Cancel The Debates! Where's My Photo Op?

The big news today is not the economy, it's McCain's need to get out of the debate this Friday.

Someone is very afraid, and I'd put my money on the fact that it is NOT Obama!

McCain is tanking in the polls, his Barbie choice can't open her mouth without sounding stupider than Jessica Simpson, and now he wants to "suspend" the campaign? What planet are these people on?

I have to admit the bit on Letterman was terribly funny!

"The debate should take place as scheduled," Speaker Nancy Pelosi said in an interview with NPR to be broadcast this afternoon. "We have to be able to do a couple of things at once. That’s what leadership requires."

"I understand that the candidates are putting together a joint statement at Senator Obama’s suggestion," said Sen. Harry Reid. "But it would not be helpful at this time to have them come back during these negotiations and risk injecting presidential politics into this process or distract important talks about the future of our nation’s economy. If that changes, we will call upon them. We need leadership; not a campaign photo op."

Thre is no leadership with the McCain/Palin ticket. They couldn't lead cow to pasture, or a dog to its food dish, and they most certainly are not capable of leading this country.

He so blew it with Letterman. Dave is basically a middle-of-the-road midwestern guy who knows what horseshit smells like. Kicking politicians is his business & doesn't mean he disrespects them personally, & he shows everytime Bill Clinton is on his program. Clearly, Letterman expected so much better from McCain. The Katie Couric appearance sealed it, that was an insult. The only New York TV personalities Letterman bows to are Regis & Barbara Wawa.
