Alice In Chains & Gretchen Wilson - Barracuda (Rock Honors)

Well, I was watching the VH1 Rock Honors show, and this pairing of Gretchen Wilson and Alice in Chains singing Heart's "Barracuda" was just unbelievable. They hit the mark.

Enjoy before VH1 pulls the video!

UPDATE: February 23, 2008 -- found another one. Hope it stays up for a while before being pulled, since I get a lot of hits on this one.

It absolutely takes my breath away to hear Gretchen Wilson sing Heart's Barracuda. She really impressed me with how well she holds the notes. She should release it as a single.

I wonder if she's even thought about doing that. You are correct, though, that rendition was spot on!

It also helps that Gretchen Wilson is related to Ann and Nancy Wilson from Heart. Having the same family genes makes a difference here.

That is so not true, shadow. She is not related in any fashion to Ann or Nancy Wilson. Sheesh. Do a little research before you make such ridiculous comments.

I was a teenager in the 70's and this is the best version I have heard. Made me rethink Gretchen Wilson, she smoked this song.

one of the best covers ever. This should totally be made in to a single.

No relationship..Brian Wilson is Ann Wilsons dad...From the Beach Boys...and he drowned...

Brian Wilson is NOT Ann Wilson's dad! Brian Wilson is the father of Carnie Wilson & Wendy Wilson, who were two-thirds of the group "Wilson Phillips." Some of you people just think same name, must be related... and that is so not true! Morons!
